Hex Keys with SAE and Metric Ball Ends - Alloy Steel - 22 Pieces

Jeff - Hello everybody. This is jeff@etrailer.com. Today we gonna take a look at the 22 piece alloy steel SAE and metric hex key set. Now these are a tough heat treated alloy steel construction. They have a nice black oxide finish to resist corrosion and these hex key wrenches also have a nice ball end head on the other end of the wrench. So basically on this end is the hex head and on this end and they actually put a ball end on all these sizes.

And what that does is the ball end heads are ideal for areas that are very hard to reach, the ball end makes it easier to slide the key into the receiving slot of the bolt or screw to loosen it. So just to show you what we're talking about, I'm going to pull out the 1/8" size wrench. And once we get the 1/8" size out - here, I happen to have a, here's a 1/8" size Allen bolt. So what I'm going to do, just let me zoom in here so we can show you, there's your so your normal hex head will fit right in there. And you're able to loosen it.

What the ball end does is, if there's something in the way and you can't get it directly over there, you can actually put it at an angle and it'll clip in. And then at an angle you're able to actually loosen it. Just like that. So that ball end gives a nice extra feature to have, it allows you to access the bolt or the screw, up to about a 25 degree offset angle, so that you can feel your way to the needed position much faster. It's great for blind or difficult areas to reach or if the bolt or screw is close to an obstruction on one side.

Now the sizes - it comes in 13. Let me go ahead and put this back in there. It comes with 13 SAE sizes. The smallest is a 5/100" size all the way up to 3/8" size and the sizes in between. Now on the product page of this product, it will list all the sizes that come.

And then on the metric, it has nine different metric sizes. The smallest being 1.5 mm up to 10 mm. You notice it comes with these nice plastic handy organizers that have the size on them. So when you pull out your size, if you pull this one out you'll see that it goes back and it's marked 3/8 on an inch, but that should do it for the review on the 22 piece, alloy steel, SAE and metric hex key set..
